Top-class Spurs star not happy with present situation at Tottenham, set to accept offer in January to leave like a coward after failing to impress.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison is reportedly considering an exit from the club, according to Brazilian outlet UOL.
The Brazilian striker has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia recently with reports claiming that he is a ‘top target‘ for Al-Hilal.
Tottenham rebuffed late Saudi interest during the summer window, having just sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.
But they are set to test the waters again with a move in January.
Previous reports claimed that Richarlison was ‘determined to remain’ at the club despite the prospects offered by a move to the Middle East.
However, Rafael Reis, a columnist for UOL, presents a conflicting narrative.
As per his report (via Sport Witness), the 26-year-old is not ‘attached’ to Tottenham right now due to his situation and is ‘willing to accept an offer’ to change his environment.
The report further elaborates that Richarlison doesn’t see a positive change in his situation at Spurs ‘in the coming months’.
Since his move from Everton last summer, the Brazilian forward has struggled to make a significant impact at Tottenham.
And while there were expectations of a resurgence under Ange Postecoglou, Richarlison’s has still not been able to consistently deliver.
TBH says:
That being said, with a shortage of attacking options—Son, Johnson, and Kulusevski being the only viable choices currently—his departure could leave the team in a delicate position, specially considering Son’s expected absence during the Asian Cup in January.
Whether Tottenham opts to sell Richarlison in the upcoming transfer window remains uncertain, but his potential sale might allow the club to explore bolstering their attacking options.
