Easy 3 Points for Enzo Maresca as Sheffield key man is confirmed to be out of action Wednesday night’s clash at Hillsborough [Back to Back League wins on the horizon].

Sheffield Wednesday return to Hillsborough in midweek where they host current Championship leaders Leicester City.
It comes after a 2-1 defeat away at Birmingham City on Saturday in which the Owls dominated parts of the game and perhaps should’ve taken something from the afternoon, but for individual errors costing Danny Rohl once again.
The game vs Leicester promises to be another tough one; the Foxes returned to winning ways on Saturday, beating Watford 2-0 after going into the international break on the back of successive defeats.
Enzo Maresca left Manchester City to take charge of the club in the summer and his side have won 14 of their opening 17 league fixtures to find themselves with a 10-point gap over 3rd place Leeds United.
And Sheffield Wednesday’s task in midweek will be made more difficult with the absence of Josh Windass, per The Star, after the attacker picked up a fifth yellow card of the season vs Birmingham City resulting in a one-game ban.
Callum Paterson though will be available after he served a one-game suspension over the weekend.
So far this season, Windass has recorded one assist but no goals in 12 league appearances this season, whilst Paterson has featured 13 times in the Championship without recording a goal contribution.
Will Sheffield Wednesday miss Windass vs Leicester?
Windass hasn’t had a great season so far. He’s come under criticism along with a number of other players and missed a great chance in the game vs Birmingham City yesterday.
But he had a fairly good game yesterday with his free-kick leading towards George Byers’ opener, and given his overall experience and proven track record in the Championship, he’ll certainly be a miss for Rohl against a very strong Leicester City side.
Paterson’s return is a boost though and the Scot could come straight in for Windass; Paterson is a very versatile player and he’ll be fresh after missing the weekend, so his energy could be crucial in giving Wednesday any kind of chance against the Foxes.
Whilst Leicester City will be the overwhelming favourites here, they’ve shown in recent weeks that they can be beaten, and the Owls will favour playing under a no-pressure tag on Wednesday night.
The game kicks off at 7:45pm; a win could bring Sheffield Wednesday to within a point of QPR in 23rd and to within seven points of Darren Moore’s Huddersfield Town who currently sit in 21st.
