JUST IN – Fabrizio confirms Daniel Levy’s stance on selling Top-class Spurs star amid interest from Jose Mourinho Serie A and 3 times UCL winners amid reports that he wants to leave after Big Ange made him second choice

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham do not plan on letting Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leave on loan in January.

As per the Italian transfer guru, European heavyweights Juventus and Ajax are interested in signing him in the upcoming transfer window but the North London club are not willing to let him leave.

Tottenham rejected a move from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window and their stance on the Danish international has not changed.

He posted on X:

“Despite links with Juventus and Ajax, Tottenham are currently not open to letting Pierre Emile Højbjerg leave on loan in January.

Spurs already rejected loan proposal from Atléti on summer Deadline Day and stance remains the same — no loan.”

This decision could have to do with their current injury crisis. James Maddison is out until January with an ankle injury while Pape Matar Sarr has also returned from the international break with an issue.

Bentancur’s return was a positive for them but it was short lived. A nasty Matty Cash tackle on Sunday has left him a torn ankle ligament which is set to sideline him till February.

And to further complicate things for Ange, Spurs are set to be without Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr for several weeks, with the pair expected to report for international duty during the AFCON in January.

Considering all of that, Spurs need as many players available as they can as well as sign a couple of reinforcements in January to bolster their squad.

The Danish midfielder has seen himself fall down the pecking order under manager Ange Postecoglou, with Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr becoming the preferred choices for the midfield.

But he has been outstanding whenever he has been asked to play with most of his appearances coming from the bench.
