Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sell Richarlison during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old striker has not been able to live up to the expectations since his £60 million move from Everton and he has fallen down the pecking order. As per Football Insider, several clubs are keen on signing the Brazilian international and clubs from Saudi Arabia could look to make a move for him in the coming weeks.
Tottenham are ready to sanction his departure for the right price and they believe that his exit would boost their transfer budget for the upcoming transfer window. The North London outfit are looking to bring in quality signings when the transfer window reopens in January. They need to sign a quality goalscorer and a central defender.
Richarlison’s departure will certainly allow them to spend a substantial amount of money in January. It remains to be seen whether they can recoup the £60 million they paid for the Brazilian when they signed him from Everton.
The striker has scored five goals across all competitions since joining Tottenham and his performances have been largely underwhelming. There is no doubt that he could be a quality acquisition for most clubs, but it is evident that the transfer to Tottenham has not worked out.
Leaving the North London club could be ideal for the player as well. The Tottenham hierarchy is losing patience with the Brazilian and he should look to join another club and get his career back on track with a fresh start.
