Tottenham have reached an agreement with Destini Udogie on a new long-term contract for the Italian defender.

Club sources confirm that the deal is done and sealed – it’s understood that everything is over.Spurs are very happy with Udogie – a pay rise has been agreed. Destiny scored his first goal for THFC yesterday.

The new contract shows that Spurs are happy with the Italian defender.

Udogie’s progress since his first £15 million move from Udinese, followed by a loan spell in Serie A, is commendable.

When the 21-year-old returned to Spurs in the summer, he became a key player for Anzhi and, under the guidance of manager Anzio Postecoglou, secured a place as a regular, showed his ability and contributed one goal and two assists in 14 league appearances.

The only two games he missed were due to suspension or injury.
