Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to agree a new contract with star striker Son Heung-min.
Football Insider reports that the 31-year-old South Korean international is ready to commit his long-term future to the club, which is preparing a “huge” offer for him.
The fans will also be very happy about the deal.
Son already earns £190,000 a week at Tottenham and is currently the club’s highest paid player. It is expected that the new contract will also include an increase in the player’s salary.
Son has been in outstanding form for Tottenham this season and is back to his best after a mediocre campaign last year. The 116cm South Korean international has scored 10 goals and 4 assists in 17 Premier League appearances and hopes to help Tottenham return to the Champions League at the end of the season.
There is no doubt that the 31-year-old is one of the best players in the Premier League and keeping him at the club in the long term should be a top priority for the North London giants.
He is under contract with them until the summer of 2026, so we will see if the two sides reach an agreement soon.
The South Korean has been carrying the scoring burden for Spurs since Harry Kane’s departure. Tottenham hope he will continue his rich vein of form and stay healthy until the end of the season.
