Miami Heat forwards Jimmy Butler and Kevin Love are suspended for Wednesday’s game against the Orlando Magic.
Butler has an injured left calf, which he suffered during Miami’s 112-108 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, while Love is suffering from a stomach ailment.
The 34-year-old Butler averaged 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 23 games this season (all games started).
Love, 35, is averaging 9.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 21 games (five starts).
The two Southeast Division teams will be on the floor looking for a hard-fought victory. The Miami Heat are on the road as they take on the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.
In the previous game on Monday night, Miami beat Minnesota 112-108 at home and failed to cover the line as a double-digit underdog. In their previous match on Sunday afternoon, Orlando lost at Boston 114:97 and failed to score for the second time in a two-game series as a 6.5-point underdog.
The Heat hold a 76-58 advantage in the regular-season series between the two teams and won three of four games last season. This includes a 123:110 home win in the last meeting on 9 April 2023.
