GOOD NEWS – Daniel Levy has opened talks to seal the signing of Ange Postecoglou January priority target as Tottenham are expected to beat Man Utd to his signature

Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham have “opened talks” on signing French defender Jean-Clair Todiba.

The Nice centre-back was linked with a move to Spurs in January, according to various reports.

Today, journalist Tom Barclays reported that the club has opened talks with Nice about a possible signing of the defender.

Now Romano is also reporting this. According to the transfer expert, the two clubs have started talks about the defender, who is “high on Tottenham’s list”.

However, he claims that it is not easy to reach an agreement with Nice, but talks have already started.

He confirmed that Spurs have already spoken to the player, who is also wanted by Manchester United, in recent days.

He shared the news on X:

“I understand that Tottenham have started talks to sign Jean Clair Todibo in January.”

“He’s high on Tottenham’s list, it wasn’t easy to reach an agreement with OGC Nice, but talks have started.”

“Spurs have also held talks with the player’s camp in recent days.”

“Todibo has also been on Man United’s list since June.”

The defender is said to cost around £35m, which could prove to be a bargain deal for Spurs.

He is considered one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 and would be a great signing for the Spurs, who desperately need a central defender due to the crisis in the squad.
