AS Roma are in the race to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham.
The left-sided defender is currently on loan to Manchester United, but has a January break clause in his contract that allows Tottenham to bring him back to the club or send him elsewhere in the next window.
Since Luke Shaw’s return from injury, he has not been getting much regular playing time, which has led to speculation about his future at United.
Borussia Dortmund have shown strong interest in signing him in the January window and remain a possible destination for the Spanish defender.
Now, however, reports have emerged that Jose Mourinho is interested in signing the Tottenham player.
This is according to Italian newspaper Il Romanista, which claims that Jose Mourinho has “approved” the club signing Reguilon to replace Leonardo Spinazzola, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Tottenham will be delighted with the strong interest from Roma and Dortmund for Sergio Reguilon, who exceeds their requirements at N17.
Levy will be hoping he can offload the 27-year-old on a permanent or loan deal with an obligation to buy, but it remains to be seen whether any move materialises.
