Agent of Spurs star meets Five times UCL winners in bid to sanction move away from White Hart Lane like Harry Kane as he’s bent on not helping Ange Postecoglou achieve his rebuild plan

In recent months, Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with leaving the club.

The 28-year-old was a key player for the north London club under previous manager Antonio Conte, but has regressed under new management.

Ange Postecoglou prefers an attacking system with free running and the Danish international does not fit his style of play. Of course, there have been speculations about his future at the club and it is expected that he will go elsewhere in the coming months.

Initially, the central midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Italy and Juventus were reportedly keen to secure his services. However, according to the latest reports, his agent is now in talks with Barcelona about a possible January move.

Barcelona would certainly need more depth and quality in midfield, especially after Gavi’s injury.

Mundo Deportivo reports via Team Talk that the agent of the Danish international has met with Barcelona president Joan Laporta. It remains to be seen whether Barcelona will make a concrete proposal to sign the player.

The 28-year-old certainly has the experience and technical qualities to be successful in Spanish football and could prove to be a quality acquisition.

Tottenham are short of midfield players and players like Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will be heading to the African Cup of Nations in January. We will see whether they are prepared to weaken the midfield even further if they allow the Danish international to leave the club.

The Spurs will be desperate to qualify for the Champions League, so they cannot afford to weaken the team further.
