Although he says that Cresswell’s condition has improved enough for him to sit on the bench at Anfield.
The key defender is questionable for a quick turnaround:
“Yes (there is still illness in the camp),” Moyes said.
“We have Nayef Aguero who is ill and Maxi Cornet. Aaron Cresswell was also ill, but he is feeling better, so he is back on the bench.”
Moyes’ comments are likely to anger West Ham fans, especially the 6,000 who travelled to the game on Merseyside a few days before Christmas knowing there would be no train home.
Key players Kurt Zouma, Emerson, Lucas Paqueta and James Ward-Prowse were rested for the quarter-final match of the wide-open Carabao Cup competition.
Under Moyes, neither Cornet nor Cresswell have scored a goal, so their absence would be largely irrelevant for Man United.
Whether Aguerd will be healthy enough to face the Red Devils remains to be seen.
