Leicester City told WHY they should be WORRIED about in-form Ipswich town

Leeds United’s last home game of a busy 2023 depends on how it plays out. The Whites will be looking to complete the double over Ipswich Town and move within seven points of an automatic promotion place.

However, the ‘Tractor Boys’ will go to Elland Road in high spirits, having lost just twice in the Championship this season. Since losing 2-0 away to West Bromwich Albion on 25 November, they have won 13 out of a possible 15 points to further consolidate second place.

After Saturday’s away game in West Yorkshire, Kieran McKenna’s men will be away to leaders Leicester City on Boxing Day. It could be a crucial few days in the fight for promotion.

Commentator Andy Hinchcliffe told Sky Sports, “I think they (Ipswich) have shown in the games so far what ability they have. They don’t need to prove anything in the Leeds and Leicester games. I think the Leeds game is more important because Leicester will probably run away with the title. It’s about Leeds staying behind them with a significant number of points.

“I’m going to Elland Road on Saturday and I can’t wait for the game. It’s going to be a very exciting game with both sides going for the win. But if Ipswich were to win or even lose both games, it wouldn’t change my view of them. They have continued the way they played in League One, so Leeds and Leicester will be concerned about playing Ipswich. Just because they drew with Norwich, they won’t be scared.”
