Paul Merson presents his prediction for Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Everton this weekend.
A quick look at the Premier League table shows that the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be something of a formality for Ange Postecoglou’s team.
Spurs have won their last two games and will climb above Manchester City with a win over Everton.

However, the Toffees are the best team in the Premier League at the moment. In their last four games, no team can match Sean Dyche’s team as Everton have won 12 points from 12.
It is incredible that Everton, who only climbed to the last day last season, have played 17 games, been robbed of 10 points and are still seven points off the bottom of the table.
But Paul Merson thinks their winning streak will soon come to an end, telling Sportskeeda that he expects Tottenham to win 3-1.
“Everton are flying in the Premier League. The Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Fulham in midweek was unlucky. Tottenham also have their own front line at the moment. Richarlison is playing well, as is Dejan Kuleshevski. Son Heung-min is experiencing a renaissance of sorts,” he said.
“Spurs will suffer next month when some of their biggest stars will go to AFCON and the AFC Asian Cup. But I think they have enough firepower to get through.
“I think Tottenham will take advantage of their home ground advantage and secure all three points against The Toffees, although their form has improved in recent weeks.”

Tottenham have the potential to destroy teams with their exciting football. At the start of the season, it was the Premier League that set the pace of the game. With wins over Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, they will gain a lot of confidence.
A win against Everton would probably be the most impressive of the three. Funnily enough, the Toffees have scored two wins against Newcastle and Forest this last term.
They have also beaten Chelsea and Burnley. They have not scored a single goal.
Therefore, Tottenham will probably have to show everything they can to beat Jordan Pickford three times.
