Done Deal, Contract Announcement by Fabrizio – Mikel Arteta’s number one priority target has agreed to terms, signs lucrative deal worth £130m in clause

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has signed a new contract with Napoli, it was confirmed on Saturday.

Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on Saturday via his X account. He wrote: “Victor Osimhen has signed a new contract with Napoli – confirmed. The documents are also ready.”

Earlier on Friday, Romano wrote that “the agreement between Napoli and Victor Osimhen on the new contract is 100% concluded and confirmed.

“The contract will be sealed before Christmas, it’s inevitable.”

According to him, Osimhen’s contract runs until June 2026, the Nigerian striker will receive a significant salary increase, a release clause has been confirmed and he is expected to stay on in January.

Mentor hinted at the deal last night when he told TG1 TV that it could be a “surprise present under the Christmas tree” for his fans.

De Laurentiis, as is tradition at Napoli, took control of the publication himself, posting pictures of Osimhen signing the papers with the single word: “Done!

According to reports including Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and others, Osimhen’s salary will rise to €10 million per season after tax.

There will also be a release clause, which is expected to amount to €120-130 million and will only apply to clubs outside Italy in the summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are unlikely to be intimidated by such a price.

Napoli paid €75 million plus bonuses for Lille’s Osimhen in September 2020, helping him win the Scudetto and become Serie A’s first African captain and African Player of the Year.
