Everton are the latest Premier League side to bid to sign Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill.
That’s according to FootballTransfers, which reports that the Toffees are said to be targeting the 28-year-old in the January transfer window.

The above report comes after Leicester City and a number of Premier League clubs were linked with Brownhill ahead of the winter transfer window opening next month.
According to the Mirror, Enzo Maresco’s Foxes are keen to sign the durable starlet but face stiff competition.
The Mirror reports that Wolves boss Gary O’Neill has been a fan of Brownhill since he managed Bournemouth, while Crystal Palace also want Brownhill in their ranks.
Josh Brownhill’s position at Burnley:
He’s featured so often for the Clarets this season, so it’s quite surprising that Brownhill has been linked with Burnley.
Brownhill, who has been instrumental in the club’s promotion, has made 16 Premier League appearances this season and has captained the team on numerous occasions.
Interestingly, the 28-year-old is currently under contract.
Brownhill is only under contract at Turf Moor until the summer of 2024, which means he can sign a pre-contract with another team in January.
Brownhill would help Leicester City with promotion:
If Leicester City manage to beat off strong competition and get Brownhill in January, it would of course greatly boost their chances of promotion.
However, the club has not done a bad job so far.
At the moment, Enzo Maresco’s men are top of the Championship and, along with Ipswich Town, are one of the two stand-out teams in this division.
