Tottenham Hotspur will host Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve, who are in good form after their three-game winning streak came to an abrupt end. While Spurs recently lost 4-2 to Brighton, Bournemouth scored their sixth win out of seven on Boxing Day, further accelerating their impressive climb up the Premier League ladder.
4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth Predicted XI:
Defence:
Guglielmo Vicario will continue to defend the Spurs goal after conceding four goals in his last Premier League appearance. Emerson Royal will play alongside Ben Davies in the heart of Tottenham’s back line as they look to keep Bournemouth’s attackers at bay.
Pedro Porro will play at right-back, while Destiny Udogie hopes to attract attention at the other end as a left-back. Postecoglu will ask them to keep solidity at the back and go forward to create chances up front.
Midfield:
Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr will operate in the middle of the park and try to make life difficult for the opponents in the middle of the park.
Heung-Min Son will try to play on the left and Brennan Johnson will play on the right. Dejan Kulusevski will play as an advanced attacking midfielder and will try to create as many chances as possible to win against the Cherries.
Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso will have to take their place on the bench and wait for their chance to impress in a needy second half.
Attack:
Richarlison will lead the attack for the North London club as he looks to be among the goalscorers in the home encounter.
Tottenham’s injured list stubbornly refuses to shorten and Ange Postecoglou will again be without a number of senior players.
