JUST NOW – Tottenham star who wants to LEAVE Spurs and join a bigger team like Harry Kane has been added in potential player plus cash deal to seal perfect Micky Van de Ven replacement

Tottenham are ready to offer Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Fulham as part of a player and cash deal to sign defender Tosin Adarabioya in January, Tottenham News reported.

With Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven injured in the first team, Ange Postecoglou’s squad is severely weakened.

Postecoglou recently revealed that signing a new centre-back is his “priority” in the upcoming January transfer window (Sky Sports News, 15 December).

A source linked with Spurs told Tottenham News that the north London club are preparing a bid to sign Adarabioya from Fulham, with Hojbjerg making the switch.

Adarabioyo has just six months left on his contract at Craven Cottage, so Marco Silva’s team fear losing the 26-year-old on a free next summer.

The centre-back has started the club’s last five league games after recovering from a groin injury that required surgery and has ruled him out of the game since August.

Tottenham News understands Fulham could be tempted by a bid because of their long-standing interest in Hojbjerg, who turned down a move to the Cottagers last summer (Daily Mail, 1 September).

Hojbjerg joined Tottenham in 2020 from Southampton in a deal worth £15m (Sky Sports News, 12 August) and has been a key player for the club under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

He made 164 appearances for Spurs and started all 38 league games in his debut season at Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the Danish international’s role in the first team under Postecoglou has diminished this season, as he has started just five games in all competitions, and he could leave Tottenham to find a more regular first team role.
