“Here We Go, Deal now agreed, documents exchanged overnight” – West Ham star has sealed agreement to complete move away from the club, refuses the chance to help David Moyes fight for thr Top and Europa League, Medicals later today

Thilo Kehrer is expected to move from West Ham to join AS Monaco on loan in the next few hours.

The German international has hardly featured for David Moyes’ team this season and Kehrer has yet to start a Premier League game for West Ham.

Therefore, a January transfer of the former PSG defender is now in the cards and Kehrer is getting closer to a return to France with Monaco.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old central defender will travel to Ligue 1 to join Monaco on loan in the next few hours, with Monaco having the option to sign Kehrer for €10 million (£8.5 million) in the summer.

Given how little Kehrer has played for West Ham this season, this loan deal would be perfect for all parties, especially if the defender progresses well at Monaco.

Kehrer, once described by Hansi Flick as “the perfect player”, could rediscover his best form in France, and West Ham are clearly keen to see the German defender leave.

West Ham want Thilo Kehrer to do well at Monaco:

As West Ham could receive a decent fee, the Ironmen will follow Kehrer’s development in Monaco with great interest.

Although the sum of close to £9 million is not the biggest in the world, it is certainly better than what West Ham received for most of the players who have not performed well in East London in recent years.

And Kehrer could easily do that in Monaco, as the defender would return to a league he knows well and join a top club with big European ambitions.
