According to TuttoJuve, West Ham are interested in Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup in the January transfer window.
Serie A giants Juventus are also keen on the 22-year-old, while the Hammers could face competition from the likes of Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
The report claims that the Hammers could offer around £8.5 million for his signature.
The Danish international is a regular for Genoa, having made 18 appearances in Serie A so far. The defensive midfielder has recorded four assists so far.
His performances have attracted the attention of several big clubs, including West Ham and Crystal Palace. On average, he makes about 4 defensive tackles and 1.2 interceptions, according to whoscored.
Busy transfer window:
It’s going to be a busy transfer window for the Kladivarians, who are doing well under David Moyes. The Kladivars must look to bring in a quality defensive midfielder and Frendup could be a great reinforcement.
The Kladivars have qualified for the Europa League knockout fights and Moyes should add more quality players.
West Ham need to get rid of some fringe players to make room for new reinforcements. German defender Thilo Kehrer has been linked with a transfer to AS Monaco and is reportedly close to joining them on loan in the next 48 hours.
Monaco will have the option to take him on permanently after the end of the season. It has also been reported that clubs from Saudi Arabia are keen to sign Nayef Aguerd but West Ham will not accept any loan move for him.
Another player who could leave this month is Said Benrahma. Earlier this month, French club Lyon were interested in the Kladivari winger and could transfer him.
