“He’s definitely LEAVING” – Tottenham star dropped from the TEAM as Fabrizio Romano confirms he has Ditched Spurs and will MOVE to a Bigger club in coming days

Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement with Eric Dier over a possible January transfer, talkSPORT has learned.

The 29-year-old Dier is out of contract in June and can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs before a summer transfer.

Dier has been relegated to the lower ranks of the competition under boss Ange Postecoglou, having amassed just four Premier League appearances this season.

This is despite Tottenham’s problems in defence following the suspensions and injuries to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Spurs’ interest in Genoa’s Radu Dragusin appears to be the final straw for Tottenham’s defender, who has rarely been used this season.

Dier is happy to be out of contract and leave the north London club for free after turning down a move to Bournemouth in the summer, with a return to Sporting Lisbon mentioned as an option.

However, his departure from Spurs could happen in this transfer window if Bayern agree a deal for the player.

According to talkSPORT, England captain Harry Kane, who played alongside Dier at Spurs, has been the main driving force behind efforts to bring the 29-year-old to Bavaria.

Spurs are said to be awaiting an official approach from the Bundesliga champions.

Asked about Dier’s future at Spurs on Thursday, Postecoglou replied, “I think Eric has signed a contract with this football club and he is in control of his own destiny like everyone else.”

Dier is in his ninth season at Tottenham, for whom he has made 361 appearances.

He started his career with Portuguese giants Sporting, but transferred to Tottenham in 2014 for £4 million.

Dier has collected 49 cap caps for England and scored three times, but has not made three appearances for the Lions since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
