‘Deal in Final stages’ – Fabrizio Romano provides update on Tottenham’s THIRD January transfer deal after successful negotiations

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Genoa are currently in the final stages of negotiations for Radu Dragusin and the North London club hope to conclude a deal soon.

In the last few days, the focus of most media attention has shifted from Spurs’ pursuit of Dragusino to their pursuit of Tim Werner.

Based on reports in the last 24 hours, the north London club have now reportedly reached a full agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of the German international for an initial loan with an option to buy for £13-17.2 million (David Ornstein).

Romano has now revealed on social media that a deal with Dragusin is also on track, with Tottenham and Genoa reportedly having “positive contacts” over the weekend.

The journalist revealed that the Lilywhites have only made verbal proposals for now, but are expected to make a formal offer soon and hope to seal the signing later this week.

The fact that Tottenham are on the verge of acquiring Dragusin and Werner for relatively low transfer prices may open up the possibility of the club spending relatively big on another player towards the end of the transfer deadline.

Spurs could perhaps offer £40-50 million for Gallagher, but it would have to wait for such an offer to convince Chelsea to sell him and for the central outfield player to be ready for transfer.
