“ARTETA OUT” – Mikel Arteta tells dissappointed Arsenal fans WHY Stan Kroenke will NOT sign Ivan Toney despite injury to Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, Kai Havertz NOT Good enough to Win the League for Gunners

Ivan Toney is reportedly too expensive for Arsenal this month, with Brentford asking £80 million for the England international.

The 27-year-old striker has been strongly linked with a January transfer to the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal are looking for a top central striker to solve the Gunners’ goalscoring problems.

But there is not much choice this month, and Toney is emerging as one of Arsenal’s more likely targets this transfer window as it looks to add a striker.

ESPN reported that Brentford is not looking to sell its star striker this month, although he will not be available all season.

Arsenal believe that £80 million for Toney is too much, so they are currently looking for other options on the market. Toney will now stay with the Bees in west London.

Other options that Arsenal are being linked with are Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke or continuing the season with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah and a big-money summer transfer.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a new goalscorer at the moment, having scored just one goal in their last three games.

A promising season for Arsenal has turned disastrous in the last few weeks as Liverpool knocked them out of the FA Cup and they lost their title hopes after defeats to Aston Villa, West Ham and Fulham.

Arteta is under increasing pressure to save Arsenal’s season and in the transfer window he could get some of the new players he needs as inspiration.
