Here We Go – Arsenal could SIGN Kylian Mbappe to the Emirates after what Mikel Arteta has been told by Real Madrid

Real Madrid is reportedly having doubts about whether to buy Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.

Los Blancos and the 2018 World Cup winner have been frequently linked for several years, with speculation that he will eventually move to the Bernabeu.

In 2022, however, Mbappe made a famous U-turn late on, turning down the chance to complete a transfer to Real in favour of extending his stay at the Parc des Princes.

Twenty months later, the two clubs face a similar scenario: Real waiting in the wings while Mbappe decides where to spend the next period of his career.

With less than six months left on his contract, the 25-year-old can formally talk to Real officials and sign a pre-contract if he wishes.

Nevertheless, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spoken positively about the prospects of keeping Mbappe long-term and reiterated his desire to keep the striker for an eighth campaign.

For the time being, an official announcement is unlikely as Mbappe himself has stated that he has no intention of making a quick decision as time is on his side.

According to FootballTransfers, this only adds to the uncertainty behind the scenes at Real, as some believe that they should instead prioritise their efforts to sign Victor Osimhen.

The report states that there are conflicting opinions on whether Real should continue to pursue Mbappe, with some believing Osimhen to be a “better choice”.

Several club officials reportedly believe that acquiring a player who could directly replace Karim Benzema would be more beneficial in the long term.
