“Didn’t enjoy it” – Top-class star drops bombshell interview as he tells Ange Postecoglou he was NOT HAPPY after signing for Tottenham ahead of crucial Man Utd clash

January 13, 2024

Ange Postecoglou has made a number of changes at Tottenham this season.

Pedro Porro, Heung-Min Son and Richarlison are playing much better than last season, while Yves Bissouma’s recent form is also quite different from last season.

Bissouma has really improved a lot.

Speaking to the Ballroom Podcast, Bissouma talked about his mood at Tottenham and said that he is very happy at Spurs at the moment because he is finally allowed to play his football.

Podcast host Gaetan Bong then discussed Bissouma’s happiness at Spurs last season and the £25 million midfielder confirmed that he did not enjoy his first season at Tottenham.

Bissouma did not enjoy his first year at Spurs:

The midfielder spoke to his former Brighton team-mate about his first year at Spurs.

“I’m really happy, you know, I’m finally playing my football,” said Bissouma.

“It’s a connection because you didn’t say anything, but I know what you’re talking about. I want people to understand how much I know this guy, you didn’t say that, but I feel you didn’t enjoy last year, am I right or not?” Bissouma was asked.

“Yes, you are right,” said Bissouma.

“I know the kind of football you like, I know the kind of manager you like, the people who believe in you, the people who say you’re the best, and when they believe in you, you’re a crazy brother,” Bong said.

I can’t blame him:

Bissouma didn’t enjoy his first year at Tottenham and we really can’t blame him for feeling that way.

Under Antonio Conte, the central midfielder was not allowed to play his own game, such an expressive player was asked to be a pragmatist, and it didn’t work at all.

Fortunately, Bissouma has rediscovered his strength this season under the guidance of Angelo Postecoglou and has been one of Spurs’ best players this season.

The less said about the Antonio Conte era at Tottenham, the better.
