Rasmus Hojlund put United ahead in the third minute with a precise finish, but Richarlison headed home from a corner to equalise.

Marcus Rashford gave United the lead at the end of the first half, but Spurs hit back seconds after the restart through Rodrigo Bentancur.

Quickly found himself behind the Spurs’ high line and controlled his space well. Both goals were unstoppable finishes.

Pedro Porro 7

His execution of the shot that led to Richarlison’s goal and his play going forward were excellent, but he was careless with Rashford’s goal.

Cristian Romero 8

Headed against the bar from close range when he should have scored. He played superbly, especially in the action that led to Bentancur’s goal.

Micky van de Ven 7

He was a bit rusty on his return to the team, but after losing possession in the first half he was saved by Bentancur. He is still very important to Spurs’ play, especially for his speed in coverage.

Destiny Udogie 7

Lucky not to score an own goal when he headed against his own post in the first half. He carried the ball forward deliberately and defended solidly.

Rodrigo Bentancur 8

He made a great finish at the start of the second half, a great moment after his difficult year, and was excellent with and without the ball.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 6

In the first half, he found himself in the middle of the field and shot into nothing.

Oliver Skipp 7

His best performance of the season. He was instrumental in setting up Spurs’ second goal, before a brilliant first pass set Werner off. Full of energy.

Squandered a number of good chances on the right and was ineffective.

Marked his return to the Premier League with an assist and did well on the left. However, his finish with both feet was inaccurate.

Won a great header in a crowded area to equalise and played with energy and purpose.
