BREAKING – Super talented 23-year old Tottenham star similar to Dele Alli told he has NO FUTURE at White Hart Lane as Ange Postecoglou sends him away from the club like Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris

Tottenham defender Djed Spence joined Genoa on loan earlier this month as part of the transfer of Radu Dragusin.

The 23-year-old defender returned from a loan spell at Leeds United in January, and Tottenham decided to send him out on loan again to ensure he can play regularly in the Italian club’s first team.

Spence has failed to secure a regular playing place at the north London club and does not appear to be a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s first team plans.

It will be interesting to see whether the defender impresses in the second half of the campaign at the Italian club and secures a permanent departure from Tottenham at the end of the season.

Sky sports presenter Michael Bridge revealed on Give Me Sport that the 23-year-old defender has no function at Tottenham, which is quite evident from their decision to send him out on loan upon his return from Leeds.

“If things don’t change, Spence has no future at Tottenham. I think we can say that quite clearly. But credit must be given to him if he managed to persuade him to go to Genoa. Many players might want to sit on their backsides, stay in London and wait until the summer. At least he is trying to try something else. It is not easy to go to Genoa. So I’m sure Spurs wish him all the best and I think they did the right thing to make this deal.”

The return from the club out of the Championship in the middle of the season was quite surprising, but the actual reason for the decision is still unclear. There were rumours about the defender’s lack of professionalism and indiscipline.

There is no doubt that the 23-year-old remains an exceptional talent and that, with the right guidance, he could develop into a quality defender. It will be interesting to see whether Genoa can get the best out of him in the coming months.
