MANCHESTER UNITED draw 2-2 with Tottenham at Old Trafford, despite leading twice.

The Red Devils took the lead after just three minutes with a decisive goal from Rasmus Hojlund.

In the 19th minute, Richarlison headed past Andre Onana to bring the Spurs back into the game, but Marcus Rashford put Man Utd back in front with a superb shot just before half-time.

Seconds after the restart, Rodrigo Bentancur headed past the Red Devils’ goalkeeper to tie the game at 2-2.

John Wenham believes Tottenham winger Ivan Perisic will leave the club for Hajduk Split this month.

Tottenham News exclusively revealed last month (20 December) that Perisic had played his last game for the Spurs after being injured earlier in the season.

With his contract with Spurs due to expire in the summer, the 34-year-old will return to his club, while Hajduk Split’s sporting director confirmed that “dialogue is ongoing” with the north London club.

“Ivan is injured, it’s too early. We have to see when he will recover, when he will be able to run and play,” he said. as reported (SportSport via Sport Witness, 3 January).

“The transfer window with us lasts until mid-February and that is an advantage for us. There is a dialogue with Tottenham and we will make the best decision for everyone.”

Wenham believes comments from Hajduk’s sporting director point to a departure later this month.

Wenham told Tottenham News exclusively: “Hajduk are in the game at the moment: ‘I still think there will be a lot of permanent sales and loans in January, starting with Perisic, I believe he will leave the club this month.

“These comments were made by Hajduk Split’s sporting director, who explicitly pointed out that the Croatian transfer window is open until 15 February.

“Perisic is not quite ready yet, but they will continue to look into this situation and of course, if he doesn’t leave in the next month, which I still believe, then he will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.”
