Tottenham are pushing hard to seal the signing of Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa ahead of Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The north London club have been monitoring the teenager for a long time and are actively seeking to secure a leading position in acquiring his services.
Brugge are reportedly willing to pay £25 million for Nusa, while agreeing a loan deal that would allow the Norway international to stay at the Belgian club until the end of the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest information, “talks between the two clubs for the player are still ongoing”, with contact expected to be re-established in the coming days.
Romano stresses that Nusa prefers to stay in Bruges until the end of the season, as she does not want to leave in the middle of the season.
In his latest YouTube video, he adds that Tottenham would like to sign him in this window and loan him to Brugges until the end of the season, but he wants to conclude the deal quickly to avoid it turning into a match.
He said: ‘In this case, we need to get the club that is in the game to agree a deal to work together to make it happen:
“Talks between Tottenham and Club Brugge are ongoing. I have heard that there will be a new contact in the next few days.”
“Tottenham want to sign the player now and allow him to join in the summer. Nusa does not want to leave Brugge now.”
“There are other clubs in the race. The deal is not yet done, so Tottenham wants to act quickly.”
Spurs have been very clever in signing contracts recently. James Maddison, Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson and Udogie have all proved to be excellent signings over the last few years. And if they manage to sign Nusha, they will have signed another fantastic talent.
