“He’s tired of Ange Postecoglou, now wants to Leave quickly” – Top-class Spurs man has told the club he’s wants to move to a better team with bigger challenges like Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is said to want a “new challenge” as Juventus want the Danish international.

The 28-year-old central midfielder is in the final 18 months of a five-year contract he signed in the summer of 2020 after joining Spurs from Southampton for £13 million.

Since his transfer to north London, Hojbjerg has racked up more than 160 appearances for the Spurs, but has made just six appearances in all competitions in the first half of the current season.

Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have all been unofficially linked with a transfer for the former Bayern Munich central midfielder in recent weeks, but Serie A giants Juve are said to be keen to secure a loan deal for Hojbjerg before the end of the January transfer window.

German Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg gave an update on the interest in the centre-forward, claiming that Hojbjerg would be open to a move from Spurs before the end of the month due to his desire to make regular appearances.

Via his X account (formerly Twitter), he said: ‘Hojbjerg is still open to a new challenge in the winter as he wants to play regularly! 90 minutes against Man Utd last weekend but he wants more. Talks and ideas about a permanent contract or loan with an obligation to buy. A loan with an option to buy is not an option for Spurs boss Levy. Juventus still interested in the 28-year-old defensive midfielder. Bayern are not involved at this stage.”

The Saudi offer was rejected by Spurs:

Spurs reportedly rejected an offer for full-back Emerson Roal.

London Football revealed that Al-Nassr, who play in Saudi Arabia’s professional league, were keen to secure the signature of the former Real Betis and Barcelona star and add him to a squad that also includes Aymeric Laporte, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

However, Spurs rejected the approach after allowing Eric Dier and Ashley Phillips to move to Bayern Munich and Plymouth Argyle respectively.

The decision to reject the offer is also an indication of Emerson’s growing importance to Spurs manager Angelo Postecoglou, as he has put in several impressive performances in recent months as the former Celtic boss has struggled with a major injury crisis.
