Harry Kane may have chosen the worst possible moment to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
The very moment Kane left, Spurs, under the leadership of Angelo Postecoglou, became one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League, and Bayern Munich are no longer even in the lead in the Bundesliga.
Chris Sutton, speaking to BBC 606, discusses Kane’s mindset after leaving Tottenham and suggests that the £86 million player may be jealous of the players currently at Spurs and argues that the England captain must wish he was still at Tottenham now.
Kane is jealous of Tottenham:
Sutton spoke to Robbie Savage about Kane and his opinion on the situation.
“Do you think Harry Kane could play under Anzhet in this system?” Savage asked.
“Is that one of the stupidest questions you’ve ever asked me? Harry Kane is great in the Bundesliga, isn’t he?” But there will be a hint of jealousy in you that he should have played under Anzhet for one season. I’m sure there’s a little bit of jealousy because he loves Tottenham and Bayern doesn’t guarantee him the title,” Sutton said.
He may end up regretting it:
Kane is already regretting his decision, but he could end up regretting his transfer to Bayern.
There is a very real possibility that this will be Bayern’s first season in a long time without a major silverware, while Spurs are well on their way to their most exciting season in a long time and things only look set to get better and better.
Something special is afoot at Tottenham and Kane, as a club legend, would surely love to be part of it.
Unfortunately, Kane left Tottenham just as things were starting to change in north London, and it may well be a decision he will regret in years to come.
