“He laughed, Didn’t Care, Disgraceful from him, Cost us the game” – Angry Tottenham fans told the ONE REASON Spurs lost to Man City as Ange Postecoglou told Who to Blame for Sponsoring another Trophyless Season for the Lilywhites

Nathan Ake’s goal was enough to knock Tottenham out of the FA Cup and send Manchester City through a controversial VAR moment.

Ake became the first City player to score at Tottenham Hotspur – the sixth time they have played at the stadium.

He also picked the right moment to score and scored a late winner in north London to secure promotion to the next round of the FA Cup.

Tottenham, however, were left furious at VAR after Guglielmo Vicario deemed Ruben Dias had fouled him at a corner.

The Portuguese leapt at the Spurs goalkeeper but was beaten to the ball.

As the Italian fell to the ground, Ake reacted quickest and stabbed the ball into the net as Tottenham’s players scuffled.

It was City’s 101st chance against Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur – they finally scored and finished off an incredible hoodoo.

Moments before that, Kevin de Bruyne had squandered a glorious chance to put City in front after a moment of madness from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The Danish international lost the ball near his own goal and it ended up at the feet of De Bruyne, who just flicked it on.

City are looking to regain the FA Cup crown they won last season when they beat Manchester United in the final.

But for Tottenham, who will now go another year without a trophy, it is a miserable moment unless a miracle happens in the Premier League.

In fact, Spurs struggled in attack, scoring only once in the whole game.

The front three of Richarlison, Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner failed to threaten Ederson in goal, while City’s defence got away with it.

City had 18 shots but had to wait until the 88th minute for one shot to end up in the net.

On the sixth occasion, the treble finally ended the nightmare at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
