UNACCEPTABLE – Liverpool set to get Revenge over Tottenham after Luiz Diaz’s WRONGLY Disallowed Goal after hearing the Unbelievable News coming out of Anfield[Check comment for full story link]

Liverpool have decided to talk to Tottenham boss Anzhet Postecoglou when looking for a new manager. Jurgen Klopp is expected to leave as Liverpool boss at the end of the campaign after nine years on Merseyside and a host of names are being linked with the Anfield club as his replacement.

Klopp brought Liverpool their first Premier League title in 2020 after leading the team to Champions League and Club World Cup glory in 2019. He also led the Reds to a FA Cup and Carabao Cup double in 2022, but last week announced his decision to step down because he was “running out of energy”.

Postecoglou only took the helm at Tottenham in July after a successful spell in charge of Celtic. But the Australian has already revolutionised the Spurs team, with Tottenham playing their best football in years.

Premier League icon Robbie Savage believes Liverpool should talk to Postecoglou and Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso in the search for Klopp’s successor.

“Ange Postecoglou is the other one [besides Alonso] that I think comes into play,” Savage told Planet Sport Bet. “A lot of what he has introduced at Spurs reflects what Liverpool do, because they have a high defensive line and they also play energetic, ‘heavy-metal’ football. In my opinion, Postecoglou would be a great fit at Liverpool, but I’m not sure that’s possible given the short time he spent at Spurs.

“If I was director of football at Liverpool now, I would want to talk to Xabi Alonso and Anzhet Postecoglou. Both would fit the Liverpool dynamic and would be great appointments, although I think Alonso will be the one to get it more often than not.”

Liverpool are in contention to win four trophies this season as they hold a five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League standings and have secured a place in the Carabao Cup final. The Reds have also qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League and secured a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Savage added: “If we had won the quadruple crown in my manager’s final season, it would have been the perfect way to send Jurgen Klopp on his way. He is an icon for the city and the football club and the players are motivated to do their best for him.”
