Fabrizio reveals How Daniel Levy pulled off spectacular swoop for 18-year old Generational talent who has confirmed Why he snubbed Multi-UCL Winners for Ange Ball – Daniel Levy finally In?

Fabrizio Romano reveals all the details of Tottenham’s spectacular purchase of Lucas Bergvall from Barcelona.

The Blaugrana thought they had sealed a deal for the Swedish wonderkid on deadline day, but were stunned to learn that the youngster had decided to join Tottenham.

Bergvall had been in Barcelona for a few days, reportedly even looking for a house, but Spurs eventually managed to persuade the 17-year-old to head to north London instead, agreeing a deal worth more than €10 million for his signature with Swedish side Djurgardens.

Tottenham have now officially unveiled the teenager, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed how Spurs managed to snatch a transfer that many – including those from Barcelona – thought was a done deal.

What did Romano say?
Romano said on his YouTube channel about the Bergvall saga: “Tottenham started working behind the scenes and approached the player. Then last week, around Thursday, Friday, Tottenham planned a mission, a trip for Lucas Bergvall with his family to their training ground on Monday.”

“He had the opportunity to speak with Tottenham directors, with the manager Ange Postecoglou, and Dejan Kulusevski, the Swedish Spurs player, was there and he had a very important and influential conversation with Lucas Bergvall to explain to him how it works at Tottenham and how important this step would be for him.”

“The player then travels to Barcelona on Tuesday and Wednesday, where he spent two days. He [had] lunch with the Barcelona management, dinner with the Barcelona management and visits to the training ground. In Barcelona, during the meetings with Lucas Bergvall, they sensed that the player wanted to go there.”

“Barça was very confident because they got a very concrete message from the player’s side … Then on Thursday, deadline day, Lucas Bergvall’s camp informed Tottenham that he had decided to join Spurs … They signed Lucas Bergvall. How? [By] offering Djurgardens €10 million plus add-ons, more than Barcelona.”

“[They] also offered the player a different contract, but also the possibility of being part of the first team immediately. Tottenham used the example of Pape Sarr when presenting their project to Lucas Bergvall … They want to replicate this kind of development process.”

Lucas Bergvall reveals WHY he snubbed Barcelona for Tottenham:

Bergvall on picking Spurs over Barcelona: “It’s always been my dream to play in the Premier League, the best league in the world”.”Tottenham is a big, big club”.

“It feels like the beginning of an era here at Tottenham”.

“There’s a great coach, Ange. It’s a great club, great manager with hungry and young team playing really good football”.

“It’s a pure joy for me to be part of this big club”.
