No Room for Top-class Goalscoring Midfielder, Kudus starts in attack, 27-year old technical star starts alongside Ward Prowse – West Ham perfect line up to get a decent result at Old Trafford – What other changes will you make?

David Moyes is considering changes to the West Ham United starting lineup ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester United. Following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, the Hammers’ manager is contemplating adjustments to improve the team’s performance.

In goal, Alphonse Areola is expected to retain his position. The defensive lineup may see a consistent back four, with Vladimir Coufal potentially absent, Nayef Aguerd still recovering from AFCON, and Ben Johnson and Emerson Palmieri likely featuring as full-backs. In the center, Dinos Mavropanos and Kurt Zouma are anticipated, while summer signing Edson Alvarez could play ahead of them, providing defensive support.

In the midfield, Kalvin Phillips and James Ward-Prowse are likely to maintain their partnership, potentially leaving no room for senior option Tomas Soucek. Moyes may have concerns about Alvarez’s temperament but is expected to keep him in a defensive midfield role.

Moving forward, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen are expected to continue their attacking roles due to their excellent recent form. However, the left-wing position remains open after the departures of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals. With Lucas Paqueta still injured, Maxwel Cornet, who scored in his only Premier League start this season, could be given another opportunity.

West Ham’s disappointing draw with Bournemouth has prompted Moyes to consider changes for the upcoming match against Manchester United. Limited options, recent departures, and injuries have influenced the potential adjustments in the starting lineup.

The manager aims to address defensive concerns while maintaining the attacking prowess that Kudus and Bowen bring. The left-wing position remains a key decision, with Cornet deserving another chance to showcase his abilities. Moyes aims to find the right balance to secure a positive result against Manchester United.
