According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Victor Kristiansen does not want to return to Leicester City at the end of the season and Bologna are not convinced that his transfer would be permanent.
The Danish international moved to the Stadio Dall’Ara last summer as a loan player with an option to buy, and Thiago Motta has given him regular game time this season.
Kristiansen has contributed three assists in 18 Serie A games so far, the last one in Saturday’s 4-2 win over Sassuolo.
However, the 21-year-old has experienced a lot of ups and downs during this period and although Motta recently praised the defender, Bologna are not convinced to sign him permanently for €15 million in the summer.
According to the Wednesday print edition of Il Corriere dello Sport on page 21, Bologna directors are still assessing the defender’s performances before making a final decision on his future at the club.
According to the report, Kristiansen does not want to return to Leicester City for the 2024-25 season. He left the King Power Stadium last summer because he wanted to play as a left-back in a four-man defence, something he was not given in Enzo Maresco’s system.

Real Betis considered a transfer for Leicester City striker Patson Daka in the January transfer window, but could renew it in the summer.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, which reports that the Spanish side are interested in the Leicester player as a replacement for Borja Iglesias.
They explain that after Iglesias’ loan to Bayer Leverkusen, Betis looked at various players and eventually signed Chimy Avila, who was their main target.
This deal proved difficult to complete, so Betis looked at other options, with Leicester City’s Patson Daka “standing out”.
They had “excellent reports” about the striker’s performances in the Championship and liked him, so they tried the option of signing him in the January transfer window, even before they had secured Avila, who was Manuel Pellegrini’s preferred signing.
However, he remains on the club’s agenda for the summer transfer deadline, when the Spanish side may need to replenish their attacking line, especially if Leverkusen activate the €8 million clause in the deal for Iglesias.
They have already tested the waters at Leicester and consequently know Leicester’s demands, as well as the fact that Daka would be open to a transfer if offered.
Things could change by the summer, of course, but it seems that Betis will be keeping a close eye on Leicester and Daka’s performances.
