West Ham fans were upset on Sunday when Arsenal thrashed them 6-0 at the London Stadium.It was a frustrating day for the club.
The London stadium was almost half empty by half-time, when the Hammers were already 4-0 behind and facing a heavy defeat.
West Ham is already calling for Moyes, whose current contract expires at the end of the season, to say goodbye.
However, Reo-Coker warned West Ham fans that the grass is not always greener on the other side and stressed the need to allow Moyes to get through a difficult period.
Moyes ended the club’s decades-long wait for a trophy when it won the Conference Europa League last season, and the former Kladivar believes the worrying thing was not the manager but the way the players gave up against Arsenal.
The former West Ham star told BBC Radio 5 Live: “West Ham fans always think the grass is greener. I think we should let him make up for it.
“It was certainly a bad day at the office, but I don’t think you can put too much blame on David Moyes as manager, because in my opinion the players on the pitch just didn’t compete with Arsenal.
“That doesn’t take anything away from Arsenal because they were sensational from the first minute to over the 90th minute.
“More worrying is the way West Ham lost; no contest, no tackling, with players around the ball but nobody was tight or tackling. The manner of the defeat makes it even worse.
“Sometimes you have to turn the attention to the manager and say that’s the job of the players.”
There were rumours that West Ham would offer Moyes a new contract, but nothing has been signed as yet.
