But despite Bayern paying an initial £82 million, there is a good chance the deal will rise to more than £100 million.

Spurs have a buy-out clause in Kane’s contract.

Levy confirmed its existence on the fans’ forum, but refused to give more details.

A buy-out clause sounds tempting for Tottenham, but Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail thinks it is not an easy clause.

He claims that it is the first option to buy if Kane returns to the Premier League, while Spurs would still have to agree a fee with Bayern.

If Kane were to return to Tottenham at some point, Bayern could end up paying far less than the initial £82 million they paid.
