SAD NEWS – Alasdair Gold has revealed unlucky Tottenham star has now INJURED another hamstring, leaving player in severe pains, he is expected to be OUT for the remainder of the season

Alasdair Gold revealed that Ryan Sessegnon injured a different thigh muscle from the one he hurt at the start of the season and explained that the left-back was desperate when he got injured.

Sessegnon has been plagued by constant injury problems since his arrival at Tottenham. Apart from the period under Antonio Conte, the former Fulham player has simply not had the continuity to allow him to show his quality.

The 23-year-old has worked hard to recover from a thigh muscle operation he had during pre-season.

The youngster may have thought that he would now finally get the chance to impress Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff on the pitch, but disaster struck at the weekend.

Sessegnon was injured again in the first half on Saturday, playing for Tottenham’s Under-21 team against West Ham, and had to leave the game in the 33rd minute.

Ryan Sessegnon injured his second thigh muscle:

Gold has now shed light on the full-back’s injury and his reaction to the incident.

The journalist revealed on The Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast: ‘In the 33rd minute he went down. You looked at him and he was on the ground with his hands on his head, he was absolutely exhausted.

“The physios worked on him for five minutes but he couldn’t even put a bit of weight on him. It was absolutely miserable. As I understood it, it was a thigh muscle problem, but this time on the other side.”

I squeeze Sessegnon’s heart, because it must be very frustrating to try so hard to get back in the game and have your body let you down again. I am sure Tottenham are giving the young man all the help he needs to cope mentally with his unfortunate circumstances.
