‘It’s very simple’… – Thomas Frank is NOT happy after Everton were given back 4-points as the Jealous Brentford man shares what he thinks should happen to Toffees now

Everton were four points adrift of the Premier League on Monday, which left Sean Dyche’s men in 15th place.

However, the Toffees are not completely out of the firing line as they face another recrimination.

Everton and Nottingham Forest are facing another PSR charge for their losses in last season’s transfer window.

The Premier League is expected to announce its verdict in mid-April. There is also a real possibility that the Premier League season will be decided after the last ball has been kicked.

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has argued that the Toffees could face a smaller haircut in relation to the forthcoming penalty.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, he said: “I’m not a lawyer, but you could say with a reasonable degree of certainty that if Everton are assessed in the second three-year period and two of those periods overlap, then the second panel’s judgement should be reduced by two-thirds.”

The Goodison Park saga could affect several Premier League clubs – and Brentford boss Thomas Frank has expressed his views on the current uncertainty.

Thomas Frank has told us what he thinks should happen to Everton:

Frank outlined at his latest press conference what he thinks should happen to both clubs in the future.

“It seems likely that Nottingham Forest and Everton will get relegated,” he said (taken from The Liverpool Echo).

“They will appeal that but it’s important that we know before the end of the season what it will mean.

“For me it’s very simple – you break the rules and there’s a sanction. End of discussion. This is the society we live in and the football world we live in.

“The Premier League needs to work out when it can announce points deductions before they appeal against them. We need that answer before the end of the season.”

A decision is needed before the end of the Premier League season. At the moment, any appeal would have to be approved by the AGM. The current meeting is scheduled for five days after the end of the season.

With survival at stake, flexibility on dates seems the wisest move for all.

The reputation of the Premier League will fall to an all-time low if a club is relegated because of a change of position after the last game of the season.
