Timo Werner has decided he wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspur beyond the summer transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Dean Jones, who has shared the latest on Timo Werner’s future.
Werner made the switch to north London in January on a season-long loan deal.
The German forward has enjoyed a positive start to life at Tottenham, having racked up four goal involvements in seven Premier League appearances.
He’s netted in each of Spurs’ last two games, with Ange Postecoglou’s men picking up wins over Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
Tottenham have the option to buy Werner on a permanent basis this summer for a fee worth around £15 million. It’s already been claimed that Leipzig are expecting the north Londoners to take up that option.
Now, according to Dean Jones, it would appear that Werner is keen to remain at Spurs this summer.

The journalist took to X on Wednesday morning and shared an update on Werner.
He wrote: “Timo Werner wants to stay at Spurs and early indications suggest he’s heading in the right direction for a permanent deal.”
While Werner has some glaring weaknesses when it comes to his composure in the final third, he’s proving to be a useful option for Postecoglou.
The 28-year-old put in his best performance in a Spurs shirt against Crystal Palace before coming off the bench to get on the scoresheet at Villa Park.
Spurs will undoubtedly be keen to strengthen in attack this summer but for £15 million a permanent move for Werner feels like a no-brainer.
The Leipzig man seems like the type of player who will be content with playing a bit-part role under Postecoglou.
His pace and smart runs in behind have also been a huge weapon for Tottenham in recent weeks.
