John McGinn, captain of Aston Villa, was shown a straight red card against Tottenham Hotspur. This means he will not be able to play in the club’s next three Premier League games as punishment for that horrifying tackle.

Referee Chris Kavanagh made the decision to send off McGinn. This made the second half even more difficult for Unaia Emery’s team, who were already trailing 2-0 after 53 minutes.
