Farke acknowledges Leicester’s potential to reclaim the top spot with a game in hand, emphasizing the uncertainty of the promotion race.
With the Whites flying since the turn of the year and looking unstoppable, Farke had been asked if, heading into the Easter weekend of football, his side were now best placed to seal the deal on May 4.
“No, because Leicester has a game in hand, I expect them also to win points in the game in hand and then they have the best possible option,” he said. “That’s just the facts and just a reality.”
In a pre-match press conference, Farke refrained from placing undue emphasis on the table standings and instead focused on the immediate challenges facing his team. With limited time for full-team training sessions, Farke expressed concerns about his team’s preparation and emphasized the importance of grinding out results in upcoming fixtures against Watford and Hull.
“For this weekend, the games before are not important because we play, more or less, the two games, six points to play for, the first game, Watford, without one training session with the team,” Farke explained. “Then, Saturday, we’ll have recovery and then we probably have one training session on Sunday, the only training session we have before the game against Hull.”

“It’s tricky and, for that, we don’t have to speak about the table right now or about which is the red-hot form team,” Farke noted. “It’s more like ‘Okay, you just have to concentrate on finding a way to be competitive again for these two games.’”
