JUST NOW – They can pack their bags and LEAVE the club as report lists the West Ham players that could follow David Moyes to DEPART the London Stadium in the next 2 months

West Ham United could be set for five first-team players to depart the London Stadium this summer, according to The Athletic.

Writing on their website (27 April), the news outlet report that Ben Johnson, Divin Mubama, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell are all set to leave the club when their contracts expire.

And to add to that journalist Roshane Thomas believes they are also “set to lose” Lucas Paqueta due to his release clause, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain circling.

“West Ham are set to lose Lucas Paqueta this summer, with his £85million release clause activating in June,” they wrote.

“Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna, Ben Johnson and Mubama are set to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season.”

West Ham United set for a squad overhaul:

It looks as though there is going to be a big overhaul of the playing squad at the London Stadium this summer, and that could be a good thing.

The Irons squad is quite old and needs refreshing, but it also needs added quality and more depth to be able to compete properly next season.

But it also will allow any new manager who comes in to be able to bring in players they want, for their own profile and their own system to get a better start to life.

David Moyes is expected to leave the club and with a new attacking style seemingly what is wanted by those in charge, it will need a new set of players who are able to perform tactically.

With so many players leaving it will free up cash and wages to spend on those replacements, and a busy summer window is promised now for fans to look forward to.
