Kevin Malone is in England and ready to make a rescue move for Everton, according to newspaper journalist Alan Nixon.
Writing via his official Patreon ReluctantNicko (5 May), Nixon has revealed that Malone, who ran the LA Dodgers for many years, is head of a consortium ready to step in if problems continue with 777 Partners.
The American Baseball guru is a respected figure in the US sports world and one of several Americans to take an interest in the Premier League.
Malone is familiar with Liverpool owner John Henry, who established the blueprint for transitioning from baseball to football.

Supporters at Goodison Park are probably just relieved to read a takeover update which isn’t based on 777 Partners’ ongoing financial troubles.
If Malone is serious about purchasing Everton then Farhad Moshiri should be on the phone at this very moment.
The Toffees need some financial relief, and the longer it takes for 777 Partners to provide that, the more trouble the club find themselves in.
Debt continues to rise at Goodison Park and Everton cannot afford to wait around much longer.
They need a solution, and it looks as if Malone is ready to provide them with one having arrived in England.
Even if the former LA Dodgers owner is not yet ready to make the purchase himself, his interest should at least wake 777 Partners up and speed them along.
Whatever the case, the more potential owners the better, and this is certainly a much-needed positive takeover update for Everton.
