May 25, 2024

Everton forward Katja Snoeijs has committed her future to the club by signing a two-year contract extension, keeping her at Goodison Park until summer 2026. The Blue Girls confirmed the news on their official website this morning.

Snoeijs joined Everton from French club Bordeaux in the summer of 2022. Since then, she has made 40 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Super League, netting 10 goals. With Everton aiming to enhance their attacking prowess next season, Snoeijs is set to play a crucial role in manager Brian Sørensen’s plans.

Expressing her delight at the new deal, Snoeijs said: “It’s always nice to get clarity of your next step in your career and I’m really happy for that. I’ve been here for two seasons, but I feel there’s still so much I can give to the team and to the Club. As a player, you’re always hungry to do more.

“Finishing the season the way we did as a group, and also my own individual performances, I think gives us a lot of confidence to build on in pre-season and for next season, too. I want to keep developing and I’m happy I can continue my journey at Everton.”

Snoeijs follows her teammate Elise Stenevik in signing a new deal with Everton this summer.
