Tipsbladet now offers a fresh update on the negotiations, claiming that Trott’s transfer from West Ham to Copenhagen is nearly complete.

The Danish club will reportedly acquire the goalkeeper for €1.5 million, with an additional €360,000 in potential bonuses. Trott is set to undergo a medical with Copenhagen this weekend and is expected to sign a four-year contract.

Trott had not been utilised much by West Ham recently. After being officially promoted to the first team in the summer of 2022, he was loaned to Vejle BK for two years.

During his time with the Danish side, Trott made 56 appearances, conceding just 52 goals and keeping 22 clean sheets. His impressive performance at Vejle drew the interest of Copenhagen, who moved quickly to secure the deal.

In other news, West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Simon Banza from Braga this summer. According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Banza is being targeted by several clubs, including West Ham, Marseille, and AS Roma. Braga are aware they may lose one or two forwards and have made a new centre-forward a priority signing.

Banza is currently under contract until 2027, with a €40 million release clause. However, O Jogo suggests he could be available for just €20 million. Banza had an outstanding season with Braga, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in 41 appearances, despite missing time for the African Cup of Nations.
