Jack Harrison has rejoined Everton on a season-long loan from Leeds United.

The 27-year-old winger, who spent last season at Goodison Park, scored four goals in 35 appearances across all competitions. Harrison initially joined Sean Dyche’s side on loan in August 2023 after missing the start of Leeds’ first season back in the Championship due to a hip injury.

Speaking to evertontv, Harrison expressed his excitement about returning: “It’s brilliant to be back. Everton is a great club, there is a fantastic group of lads here and I’m excited to get started again with a full pre-season of training.”

He added, “Last year, I had a lot of enjoyment at the club. We had to face a lot of adversity but we were able to continue on and have a good season overall.”

Harrison highlighted several reasons for his return: “I think the club in general — the fans, the staff, the manager, my team-mates — everyone made me feel really comfortable right away and that’s somewhere you want to be as a player. It’s a great place to play football.”

He continued, “The other thing is I know I have a lot more to offer. That’s extra motivation for me to go back and prove to myself and to Everton that I can do more on the pitch. This season I’ll be able to have a full pre-season and hopefully hit the ground running.”

Everton have also signed midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa, while Lewis Dobbin has joined Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

Harrison’s move comes amid significant developments at the club, including the recent announcement that the Friedkin Group has entered a period of exclusivity to buy Everton.

The deal signifies Everton’s ambition to strengthen their squad and improve their performance in the upcoming season. Fans are hopeful that Harrison’s return will provide the team with much-needed creativity and attacking prowess.

His familiarity with the club and its supporters is expected to ease his reintegration into the squad. Everton’s management is confident that Harrison’s experience and skill set will be invaluable as they aim for a successful campaign.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Harrison and how he contributes to Everton’s quest for success. The club’s faithful supporters eagerly await the action, hoping that Harrison’s return marks the beginning of a memorable season at Goodison Park.
