Brighton tabled a bid for Leeds United attacker Georginio Rutter in the region of £30 million, according to Adam Pope. The BBC journalist cited LeedsLive’s Beren Cross, who claimed that the Whites turned down the offer from the Premier League side.
It’s understood that the bid was made by the Seagulls after they completed the signing of Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle for a similar amount.
Via Twitter, Pope wrote: “As per Beren Cross Utd reject £30m offer for Rutter after previously showing interest in Summerville. Bid apparently came in after Brighton had signed Minteh for similar amount.”
