EXCLUSIVE – West Ham reportedly just moments away from AGREEING a deal worth €23 million to SIGN 27-year old sensational midfielder with a hat trick against Real Madrid as per French outlet Le Parisien

West Ham United are reportedly on the brink of finalising a deal worth €23 million to sign 27-year-old Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Le Parisien, the Hammers are keen to strengthen their midfield before the summer transfer window closes and are close to securing Soler’s services.

Everton have also shown interest in the player, but time appears to be running out for them to make a move.

Carlos Soler, once considered one of the brightest midfield talents in La Liga, has struggled to make his mark since joining PSG from Valencia in September 2022.

The Spaniard’s time at PSG has been less than ideal, with Soler finding himself on the periphery of the squad rather than a key player for the Ligue 1 giants.

Despite making 63 appearances for PSG, he has only managed 2,807 minutes of playing time, contributing eight goals and eight assists during his tenure in Paris.

The 27-year-old’s lack of regular first-team action has prompted speculation about his future, and a move away from PSG now seems imminent. With West Ham United and Everton both vying for his signature, Soler is expected to leave the French capital to revitalise his career.

For West Ham, the interest in Soler is understandable. The East London club is in need of midfield reinforcements, particularly with uncertainties surrounding the future of Lucas Paquetá, who is embroiled in a betting scandal.

Soler’s versatility makes him an attractive option for the Hammers, and the club is reportedly close to sealing a deal for the Spaniard.

Meanwhile, Everton are also keen to bolster their midfield, especially given their recent struggles in the Premier League.

However, Goodison Park may not hold the same allure as the London Stadium, particularly with Everton’s recent battles against relegation. This, combined with West Ham’s advanced negotiations, means the Toffees may struggle to turn Soler’s head in their favour.

As it stands, West Ham are poised to secure Soler’s signature for €23 million, including add-ons. With personal terms reportedly not an issue, the deal is likely to go through, leaving Everton to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut.

For Soler, a move to West Ham represents an opportunity to reignite his career in the Premier League, where he will hope to regain the form that made him one of Spain’s most promising midfielders.
