Leicester City have secured the signing of Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace for a fee believed to be around £8 million. The 32-year-old forward leaves South London after seven successful seasons, during which he became a mainstay in the Crystal Palace squad.
Ayew’s time at Selhurst Park saw him make 212 appearances, contributing 55 goals and assists as the Eagles cemented their status in the Premier League.
Last season, Ayew played a pivotal role, featuring 35 times and scoring four goals, helping Palace to achieve their joint-highest Premier League finish.

Despite his consistent performances, Palace saw the opportunity to cash in on Ayew, turning a £2.5 million investment into a £5.5 million profit. The move also relieves some pressure on the club’s wage bill, providing financial flexibility for further signings.
As Ayew embarks on his new journey at Leicester, Crystal Palace will now look to reinvest in their squad. The club is expected to be active in the final week of the transfer window, with Chelsea duo Raheem Sterling and Carney Chukwuemeka reportedly among their targets as they seek to bring in fresh attacking talent.
